Formatting Text from a Database

Here is what I am trying to do, and I am hoping someone else has done it.
I need to get text out of a database and put the text into two columns. The columns would be fixed, so the text would have to wrap from the first column to the second.
If anyone has any ideas or thoughts please post.

can u b more specific? it's hard to understand what exactly do u wanna do.
isn't puttin your text in regular html table with two columns good enough??
