Hi !
I developed a JSP application using Tomcat(Linux) and Oracle(Linux). I use HttpSession to store user information, as login, privileges, etc. The fact is, it's very slow ! But, if I run Tomcat in Windows, it's very fast ! What can it be ? The linux machine is much better than the windows one.
Do you have any clue ?
Thanx !

Why do you think that session handling is the cause of the slowdown?
Do both machines have comparable amounts of memory for Tomcat? The same SDK version and JVM parameters?

I solved the problem.
It was the date of the server (Linux + Tomcat).
The date was too old, and when I saved the edited JSPs, they where with the client date, something about 2 hours in the future, comparing to the server date.
It's all perfect now.
Anyway, thanx a lot !
