Folks
We currently have a web app that is up and running nicely and has been for a year. We use Websphere 3.5 as the app server and IBM HTTP as the web server. The site is developed using JSP's and servlets with JDBC connection to a SQL Server database.
We are looking to make the site accessible from mobile devices, primarily mobile phones using the GPRS network. We would like to use the browsers which come with the phones such as the new ORANGE SPV phone(operating system Win CE although we Symbain Os browsers as well).
The problem we are having is finding any useful information on redesigning the site so that the pages are displayed in a suitable way to look right on the phones.
1) Are there any reference sites on this matter?
2) is this posssible using XML technologies?
3) is anyone doing this yet?
4) we would like to experiment with VoiceXMl to control the web applications. Are there any decent reference sites on this.
Many thanks in advance
