Hi,
We need to include 2D&3D line charts in our web application. When user right clicks on a particular table, he gets a context menu. When he selects a menu item, we have to show a line chart depending on the data in the table. There is no need to send this information to server. How can we do this? Are there any free chart tools available on the net? Which is best?
Thanks a lot.

Actually the only way to avoid sending data to the server would be using an Applet and using javascript integration to update the applet.
See RChart, it will support both approaches:
http://www.java4less.com and click on "RChart".
It has the following advantages:
- very reasonable price (starting at $24)
- Documentation , support and online-tutorial are included in the price.
- Works as applet, servlet or bean.
- It works with java 1.1 also
- Supports more than 18 types of charts andhas interactive features (zoom, tips, scroll, html
links)
- Includes RChart Visual Builder (almost no programming)
- Can read data from database (if working in the server).
- source code is available can be freely modified for commercial applications also.
