Hi Ved
Using type="password" with the HTML <input> tag will suppress userid/password display on the browser window. Or are you looking for something more elaborate?
Mark.

Hi Ved,
There are two ways you can encrypt the data sent from the browser to the jsp page.
The first is the
Http Digest Authentication as defined in the 12.5.2 of servlet specification 2.3
The second means is to use the https protocol.
You have to look at which of the two is feasible to you and also which is supported by the application server you will be using

If you mean that you don't want the name and password to show up in the URL, just make the signin form POST instead of GET.
