Hi guys!
Hopefully this'll be a pretty simple one!
I have a table containing a column of type CLOB residing on an oracle 9i db and I'd like to output the text contents of this to my JSP. I'm using JSTL and my simple select statement, which works fine in SQL plus, returns the following in my textpad box on the JSP.
oracle.sql.CLOB@3963c4

This seems to be a pointer to the CLOBs memory address and although very useful for people who wanna know this, its not really what i'm looking for.
My JSTL code is:
<sql:query var="getRisk">
SELECT id, risk_desc, impact, risk_date, cause, unit_pri_bsc, unit_pri_all, pillar_pri_bsc, pillar_pri_all, agency_pri_bsc, agency_pri_all, impact_value,
likelihood_value, trn_phase, bscp_name, bsc_pi, summary, logged_by
FROM risks
where id ='<%=riskid%>'
</sql:query>
and i access it my <textpad name=desc><c ut value="${getRisk.rows[0].risk_desc}" /></textpad>
any ideas??
Many thanks
Ben
