Question regarding Tomcat

Hi,
I installed my J2SE and Tomcat correctly.
I set all the path correctly and initial page (http://localhost:8080) worked fine also.
The problem is that I cannot access my own folder called 'myWork' folder under 'Webapps' folder.
'http://localhost:8080/myWork' gives me an error instead of running index.html in the 'myWork' folder.
Please help me....

What error? 404?
What happens if you put the full URL in?

I suspect that the way your are addressing it requires that Tomcat think myWork is a web application - it is expecting to find a myWork/WEB-INF directory with a web.xml in it.
If you don't want to do that, put the folder under the webapps/ROOT directory where it will be part of the default web application.
