Hi all,
Ive always been able to get the data out of my bean classes without using useBean tag. All I have to do is to write something like this:
<% MyBeanClass mybean = (MyBeanClass) request.getAttribute(mybean); %>
instead of saying
<jsp:useBean id="mybean" class="MyBeanClass" scope="request"/>
Are there any specific and definite benefits in using <jsp:useBean> or is it just a matter of style?
Thanks

It might depend on the role. As a programmer the syntax seesm familiar to you. To a web-designer conversant with using tags, the standard action might be much more familiar.
