Hello,
I would like to know if anyone can inform me how bad or good are Jobs for Java in Florida (specifically: Jacksonville/Gainesville, Talahasse, Melbourne etc). Just a general account will suffice.
I did do job searches on Monster, Dice but would like to hear from people actually working there.
I have 7-years of programming experience including 3 years in Java.

The market in Melbourne, Orlando, Gainsville is slow. I think Jax is a bit better. Hope 04 is better!

Jax is still tight, but improved (heck, even I finally got another job 2 months or so ago!).
We just had someone leave for a better position. A new person was coming in, but he's weak on J2EE so depending on how well the load distributes, we may hire another in a few months.
