When I try to get some info from the url it gives me strange symbols. Here's a snippet:
String projectID = request.getParameter("projectid");
prjb.getProjectIssues(projectID, ...);
I get a wrong COUNT error. When I look at the log that prints out my sql statements it says that the sql statement is " VALUES(<?rojectID%> ..." the rest of the statement is fine. Why is it changing from projectID to that monstrosity?
I am working with a strict deadline so a timely response would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sunil,
Welcome to the Ranch.
Firstly, everyone is on a 'strict deadline' so saying so in your post won't get you any faster answers.
Now on to your question. What would be helpful in trying to figure out what's going awry would be:
1) The URL from which you are retrieving the parameters.
2) The value in the string variable immediately after you perform the getParameter().
The snippet of SQL statement you showed isn't very helpful since no one has any idea how it was constructed from the parameter.
