Changing job roles, from team leader to DBA, what to think about ?

Today I got a change into may job role, until now my role(s) were team leader, junior dba and webmaster ( lot of things I know ) , now I'm senior (in process ) dba and webmaster (no more team leader), same $$$ whitout some activities and new ones ...
I'm the only one that my boss trust for the database and the only one that knows about web things, it was the argument for the move.
I really don't know how to feel, good or sad ?, maybe were really many things for me. Now it's suposed for me to got all the trainning needed for been a certified dba and the same for the web (java, ...).
So, what do you think about ....

We are using Oracle 8i, and planning the migration to 9i

The two questions you need to ask are...
1) Are they being upfront with me, or is this a ploy to start moving me off critical tasks so they can replace me?
2) Will the change in opportunity better position me for my future career goals?
