Finding the client OS  RSS feed

Hello,
For statistical proposes I would like to have the client operating system, I can use the http header �user-agent� and check for �windows� string however there isn�t a standards for the user-agent header.
Is there a proper way for getting the user OS ?

As far as I know, the user agent header is as good as it gets.
