Hi,
I am looking for job in India. Can somebody give me good pointers?
My problem is that after 12 years of job I decided to take a break(actually a retirement sort of).
After 1 year, I am looking for job again because of circumstances.
I tried getting in trough direct ads but it seems my 1 year break is creating problems for me. People ask me why I was out 1 year and they do not seem to be convinced with my answer. Any ideas about how to handle this?
Do other laid off ( or otherwise) people face similar bias?

Do you really know anybody we got the job through these? I think most of the times , it's just recruiters placing ads to get resumes for their database.
Also how useful is the paid service which these web sites offer ( like naukri.com)?

Yes,
These sites were very helpful to me as well in finding my current job(specially naukri.com). As for paid services, i dont know anybody who has taken that scheme.
