multiple page loading

Let's say i've a jsp page with a list object storing 100 records. i'm doing multiple page loading of this jsp page to auto-reload, and display the records in sets of 20.
However the records stored in the list object gets lost during subsequent page reloads. How to resolve this?
the list cannot be declared "static", cos then i cannot have multiple users requesting for this page.
