Hi guys,
Hope this is the right forum because it seems I'm posting stuff to unappropriate ones...
I am looking for a way to compress my JPSs. I found this website (http://www.netspade.com/software/java/compression-filter/) where it's discussed on how to implement it. Did as they said, and did a test by writing an html page with 7000 lines and a JSP page with for loop that right 7000 lines. It seems that performance is the same for html and jsp. Am I doing something wrong?
thanks,
Alex

hi dear:
I am using tomcat 4, there is an example of CompressionFilter.
I ran it on my computer, it takes long to compress the output(100,000 records).
So, in my point of view, compression is only useful for low-bandwidth link.
For a high-bandwidth link, it seems little of use
