<jsp:include page="http://www.cnn.com" />
This won't work ...
How to achieve the desired effect?
Thanks in advance ...

What are you trying to achieve?
Do you want to show the content of cnn.com inside your own page?
There's several options.
You could use an iframe for it, or use Javascript to load the content into a div (which might work, I've not tried).
CNN may also have an RSS or XML feed which you can pipe into and parse into your page.

This option sounds good to me. Could you direct me to soma samples on this?
Thanks ...

jsp:include only works for local files (e.g. files on your filesystem). the io taglib from Jakarata will include the output of a page in it's entirety - http://jakarta.apache.org/taglibs/doc/io-doc/intro.html

Or for a standardized approach, check out the <c:import> tag of the JSTL.

bear, the include command IS standardised. It's just not appropriate here...

If you had read the reply previous to mine, you would have known that my response was in reference to the Jakarta I/O taglib.
