In JSTL I am trying to use a parameter called recordsToDisplay. I define this param in web.xml as a context-param. I cannot successfully retrieve the value of this param.
I notice that a diagnostic forEach call on the initParams object yields nothing, where as the same call on the param object returns all my request parameters.
Why can't I gain access to my context-param?

Works fine for me. I have a context param named loggingConfigurationLoaderPath, and the following:

displays its value with no problems.
Are other EL expressions working in your page?

Thanks, Bear, for your help on this and other questions I have posted.
Perhaps I have a jar file problem. Of the JSTL jars, I am using only standard.jar and jstl.jar since I was experiencing xml jar file conflicts between JSTL and my current implementation of Tomcat. Up to now I have gotten away with it.

If you've got a good Tomcat installation (or whatever container you are using), those jars are all you should really need.
What is your setup?
