Does anyone know how I can stop the execution on a JSP page and start it again (on same page)
I have tried to put in an alert box but this does not prevent the rest of the java code being executed.
i=0;
While (i < 2)
{
if( i==1)
%>alert(The transactions commits when you press Ok);<%
//the program should not execute the commit statement before the user has clicked ok.
else
stmt.executeUpdate(commit);
count++;
}

well as you have seen the procedure of mixing javascript & java does not work. it sounds to me like what you should really be doing is a post or get to a servlet or JSP where a previous page is your "user confirmation" page.
