Is there any way to keep a dialog/window open while processing through jsp pages? I have an app that has an info page that posts to a validate and then to a store page to store the results.. There is also a list in a different frame... and users are selecting a new item out of the list before processing is complete on the original item, so I would like to keep sometihng up letting the users know processing is still going on? InfoPage posts to ValidatePage.. and then validate page forwards to store page.. <jsp:forward page Thanks...

Hello Joseph,
One posible solution is to use a META refresh tag like this:
<META HTTP-EQUIV=Refresh CONTENT="10; URL=your_controller_address">
in a page that displays a progress bar.
It involves some work on the server side (launch the processing in another thread then send to client a page displaying the progress bar).
The Refresh makes the browser ask the server again tha page every 10 seconds (you can change it; it's just an example).
Search for a complete example.
Good luck

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
