So are you asking how to represent a dead link on an HTML page, or how to store an expiration date, or what?
Where do the links and expiration dates come from?

Hi actually this is one of the prebuild application and it has a component called "Email as weblink" when a user clicks this component by the behavior of the component it opens default website of the host and makes the user send the link.

Now I need to add a functionality which would make the user add an expiration date dynamically.

What I need to know is how to store this date and how do I make the link dead when the date reaches the expiration date.

Thanks

kiran

let the link connect to a servlet that generates the real URL at runtime.
If the date is after the expiration date (store that in a database together with some parameter you add to the URL you mail over) you forward to an error page, otherwise to the correct resource (which you'd better generate on the fly or people can just find out the exact URL and link to it direct).
