Tech Companies Focus on Asia to Expand Jobs
Excerpt:

Technology companies are seeing a rebound in business, but top executives this week said any jobs added to meet growing demand will likely be in countries where labor is cheaper than the United States.
Executives speaking at the Reuters Technology, Media and Telecommunications Summit in New York said they see increased hiring in countries like India and China, but few jobs will be added in the United States.

The article certainly does not explain why the 65K H1-B quota was filled in 4 months.

Non-U.S. technology companies had a banner year in 2003.

What was last year's quota? How many H1-Bs are working in the US?
It's time to end this technology workers shortage ploy. US citizens should be filling jobs in the US.

US Citizens Only or US Citizens, Green Card holders and everyone else legally allowed to work in the US 'cause otherwise it would be discriminatory.

Hi,
You could read the following for a kick.
Warning: Newsweek is not my well recommend news source. In this particular piece, you will see a dog chasing its own tail.
