I have Apache 2.0 and Window XP. I just want something to play with. Also, what is the difference between JSP and a Servlet ?

You need a servlet container like Jakarta Tomcat. Sun's Servlet Tutorial and JSP Tutorial should provide the answer to your other question. Basically JSPs provide a means of implementing dynamic web pages using HTML-like syntax (tags). JSPs use servlets under the hood to achieve this.
