Hi,

I have problem adding new jar files (for my JSTL). I added the standard and jstl jar files to the lib directory of my home/WEB-INF. But still I am getting the error
"This absolute uri (http://java.sun.com/jstl/core_rt) cannot be resolved in either web.xml or the jar files deployed with this application"

I am even having problems of creating objects or accessing any clss I already created( classes are accessible).

Please help me and let me know if there is anything that I am missing

Thanks
Sharanya

Which servlet container? I am suspecting from your post that you are using a Servlet 2.3 container like Tomcat 4 since you are using JSTL 1.0.

If so, I've found that Tomcat 4 had a bit of a problem with TLD auto-discovery and usually resorted to declaring the TLDs in the web.xml file.

Is there a reason you cannot upgrade to Tomcat 5 and JSTL 1.1? They are better-behaved.

Hi,

I am having J2sdk 1.4.2, JSTL 1.1.1 and tomcat 5.0.28.
Previously I had tomcat 4.1.30. But I have upgraded it to 5.0.28. But I am still having the problem.
I am unable to access even the classes of the same application.

Thx
Sharanya

is a JSTL 1.0 URI.

If you are using JSTL 1.1 the URI should be http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core
