how can we know what version of jsp we are using?

Jyothi,
Usually you look at what server (and version) you are using. Then you can figure out the JSP version. If you post the server/version here, someone will probably know.

Hi Bert,
I passed the scjp exam on 2002. Afterwards, I wanted to learn servlets and jsp,but I couldn't understand any book. When I started reading your book I gained confidence that I will be able to learn JSP and servlet. Your book is amazing. Anybody can understand it easily and it gives you interest to learn web technology.
