Hi

here it goes....The first page of the web application shows 3 radio buttons w.r.t different languages eg, hindi, english, tamil. My (Internationalization)web application is running fine and the appropriate property file is picked using resource bundles. The challenge is something like this -> Now when the user selects a particular radio button the locale should change automatically and the keyboard should start typing in characters in that particular language. The user should not have to take pains of changing the locale manually....i.e on the right side in the task bar(language icon), for different languages. How do i do this programatically?

the application that im talking about will be deployed on the server and the clients will then be able to fill in their details in their native languages, the application is running fine, i.e add insert, delete and update data is being performed in different languages.

What essentially needs to be done is that (in windows environment), on selection of a particular language (radio button), the locale should change (programatically in control panel->regional options-> Input locales ->input language), and the keyboard should start typing in that particular (selected) language.

Front end : JSP
Back end : DB2

Plz help

cheers

caffaine

I don't think that you're going to be able to change the client's locale settings in the OS from the server side... besides, why wouldn't a client (in the real world, not talking about testing the app) want your page in a certain language and have their computer set to something else?
