Hi all,
I am developing a shopping cart kind of application where initially the users will see a set of pages for which they don't need any authentication. The users can browse or search all the catalog pages and can select the products they want to purchase. Once they are about to buy the product, I will take him to a login page. If the user is authenticated, I need to take him back to the page from where he was before redirected to the login page.
There may be number of page and there are also dynamic pages which are created by searching the catalog. So I need to redirect him to the page where he was before the login page. How do I do this.

Any Help on this is very much appreciated.

Regards,

You would need to pass the url and possibly, the search criteria to the login page so it can build a proper link to the former page.

One gotcha to look out for:
You can't maintain your session when passing from secure to insecure mode. You'll need to use some other means to pass the value back and forth if your catalog section isn't using SSL but your checkout area is.
