Hi,

I recently downloaded a website using one of the freewares for offline viewing. It consists of jsp pages along with an array of html, images, etc. These jsps show fine in my friend's laptop but not so on mine. My IE shows the source script of the jsps. I have checked the Internet Options of my IE but can't figure out the issue. I have seen jsps on my IE before.

I know it must be something v trivial. But just can't figure out what??

If source is displayed at the client, I think it is problem with the server. The server is sending you the file without processing the jsp file. Are both of you using the same server?

Better question, Are you running this app in a servlet container at all?

Nope, not using a container at all - neither on my friend's laptop nor mine.

Then it's not working on you friends laptop either.
Go dowload and install Tomcat and install it.

Before you do, download and install Java.

Once you've got Tomcat up and running, just drop the war file in the TOMCAT_HOME/webapps directory and Tomcat will automatically deploy and run the app for you.
