Can someone suggest which technology is in better demand and which is more practiced: Struts or JSF? Any others?

Struts will help.

EJB, HSP, Hybernate, Spring will also not hurt.

Many positions demand for real world experience in these technologies.

Hybernate might be something to look into but I personally prefer Hibernate.

Yes, I read tutorial on Struts on this site, but need more input. Books that are recommended on this site did not get good reviews on Amazon.com, so not sure which way to go. Of those who know/learn Struts, how did you get your knowledge?

Personally I liked Programming Jakarta Struts and Struts in Action. They both got decent reviews here (7 and 8 horseshoes) and at Amazon (3.5 stars) so I am not sure where you are coming from.

Also TSS is offering a free download of Jakarta Struts Live if you want to go that route.

What happened to the idea of learning a core technology, fundamentals, designs and methodologies etc instead frameworks? Almost all of the above-mentioned frameworks/api�s (well, I am sure about Struts) can be self-taught, thoroughly, in less than a week!

Anyhoo, since OP�s question is about frameworks, yeah, as others said!
