The option you can go forward in this is you can define the variable in applicaton Scope.

There are many ways to pass variables between two jsp pages.
Describe what you are trying to do.

define the variable in applicaton Scope



Not a good idea since this will cause threading issues.

But as Ben pointed out, until we know exactly what you are trying to do, we can't recommend any partcular mechansim.
