hi friends,

i am trying to make an application(primerily a web however doesn't matter!!) which can list all the url's defined in a web page. it's just an idea and is related to no project or something.... it just clicked with a cup of cofee this morning....i hope this will be a good subject.

this is something like...

first, user will launch this application.

there will be an option for him to specify the URL/URLs or the IP.

the user clicks the submit button.

now what this application will do ... it will retrieve all the Hyperlinks from that page...and will be displayed in a table.

| checkbox | Hyperlinks | explore futher links ? |
| [] |http\\... | yes [] No[] |
| [] | | yes [] No[] |

further my application will have actions such as ...for a given hyper link...user can explore further hyperlinks ...associated with the page's hyperlink.

Part 2

>> now there is a problem......this may be possible some links are static and some dynamic......??? ...i have no idea what to do then.

>> and FORMS ?? so this application will have to list all the forms and their arguments.

in most general cases forms requires your name, your address, etc (comment forms).

in other types there are login forms(login ID and password)

what i want is that i will give user an option to specify a text file in which he will list all his ID's and passwords...the application will find this file and use all it's IDs and passwords against the login form....if suceeded it should give another list exploring it's links.

there are a lot of stuffs related with this.....if some related work is there..please let me know.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
