Hello, I have this slight issue, I have a JSP page which should open an XML file, then loop through each tag and use the contents of each tag to call a web service on a remote server. So, the program format is a little like this:

Open a database connection
Check if the current record is in the database
If not call the webservice

then loop to the next tag element and do the same. I am using the streaming stax parser. Now my problem is this:

I use the System.setProperty("http.ProxyHost", "MYproxy");The way this works is, the jsp page reads from a file called Proxy.xml which contains the proxy settings. I used proxy settings which are incorrect but the jsp page doesn't care. It still worked. Normally this should throw an exception. Also, any other errors I add to my page doesn't throw exceptions. I even went as far as to add a new unidentified class to my page : Blah bl = new Blah(). And it simply compiled.
Please what is the best way of having a try, catch block in JSP. Thanks.
