Hello,

Is it possible to have different types of graphs in JSP using some beans, of course other than BiBeans. Graphs like Pie, Bar, Cylinder etc and to have drill down options?

Idea is to integrate with Oracle Portal!

Any help in this regard is highly appreciable.

Thanks

Cosmos

Hi Cosmos,

Yes it's possible. You could use any of the freely available Java Graph Libraries. Do a Google Search for "Java Graph Library". Here are some that I have found

1. http://www.jfree.org/jfreechart/index.php

2. http://jopenchart.sourceforge.net

I thought thats the first place you would look for. I am not sure if I answered your question or perhaps misunderstood your question. Do let me know.

However, note that the client browser makes a separate request for each image, and since an image is binary, it should be served by a servlet, not a JSP. There are many discussions in the archives that touch on this..

Besides, can I have the documentation for JFreeChart.
jfreechart-1.0.0-rc1-install.pdf) I tried from source forge as well,
but the same result, what could be the reason?

So if someone has documentation, could kindly send to

ponicpool@gmail.com

Thanks

If you go to the directory on sourceforge that holds all the downloads for JFreeChart - http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/jfreechart

You will see that the documentation for the 1.0.0-RC1 version is not available there. You can download older versions of the documentation, though.

You could also post on the JFreeChart forum - this is run by the JFreeChart developers, and you could tell them that they are missing the documentation for 1.0.0-RC1 and see if they can fix it.
