Hi Tien Duong Nguyen,

Tomcat has no own implementation of JSTL.
The Jakarta Taglibs Project contains the reference implementation for JSTL. Do you mean that when you speak about "Tomcat implementation of JSTL specification"?.
AFAIK no other implementation exists.

Hi,

Nils , you are right. It is the Jarkarta Taglib project. It does not belong to Tomcat.

Besides this Jarkarta taglib implementation, do we have any other open source implementation ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Andy.

As he said, he is aware of no other implementations.
Neither am I.

Question: why would you want one?

Hi,

We are currently developing a project which needs to use JSTL 1.1. Previously, we used jakarta implementation (JSTL 1.0), I am doing a feasibility study how to upgrade from JSTL 1.0 to JSTL 1.1. It is best if we could have some alternative to consider instead of just having Jakarta implementation.

I have conducted a lot of searches but it seems to me that Jakarta implementation is the only one.

Regards,

Andy.

No, the Jakarta library is not the only implementation. But you asked for an open source implementation.

Resin 3, for example, has a built-in JSTL 1.1 implementation. But it is not down-loadable for use with other containers.
