Hi Bryan Basham, Kathy or Bert if you read this question.
In the book (Head First Servlets & JSP) in the first chapter on page 21, it says one Server can have only one application per port. A server can have two applications on same port if both applications are using diffirent protocols.

Ok now in your "Directory Structure for a simple Apache Web site" topic, there are two applications "SkiingAdvice" and "beerAdvice", these both applications are using the same protocol HTTP and these both are on same port "80" how come?

I think either I misunderstood the concept or I need little bit clerification on Server Applications using diffirent or same ports.
