Hi,
I am new to jsp .I am having a text box which is either null or having some values according to the database content.I am trying to set a status variable
when the value in the text box changed , to true if the previous value in the text box is null, else set status to true true.
Can any one help?
Thanks and Regards

Yes

But only if you can describe your question a little better.
Since this is a JSP forum, I assume the 'status variable' you're talking about is a JSP/Java variable on the server.
JSPs (or any server side technologies) don't know when a field has changed until the form has been submitted.

If the status variable is a Javascript variable, you can use the onchange event in the text field to trigger some code to change it.
Without more information, it's hard to say.

Please try to pose your question in a way that will help us to help you.
