I'm developing a JSP application, in which I want to send the customer to a secured page (https://) from a non-secure page(http://). How can I do that without forwarding the request? If i have forward the request, will I lose session?

Actually, you can't change the protocol on a forward. You'll need to do it with a redirect.

I know..but, if i redirect the request, i might lose the session. Any other option?
