I am developing an web application based on Struts framework.
I am facing two problems right now.
1. In struts JSP are accessed via .do links. Is there any way that the direct access via the .do link can be avoided. I want users to use the button to move to the next page and i dont want to allow the direct access via do link.

2. In my page i have a search function in which data are displayed depending upon the search keyword. However, when users access other page and return back to the former page, the page is not initialized. It still shows the data from previous research. How can this problem be solved?
I did some research on this and i think Struts plug-in can be used for this one. However, I am still not sure.

Any ideas on the above topic is highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance

"Null Pointer",

There aren't many rules that you need to worry about here on the Ranch, but one that we take very seriously regards the use of proper names. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

Thanks!

I am sorry for that.
I changed my name according to the policy of the Java Ranch.
My name now represents the initials of my name.
