Hi
here is the problem :
I need to build a web application managing 2 types of users : students and administrator.
students should be able to register and login to system and the administrator also should be able to login.
i'm looking for a simple example for this functionality using jsp and servlets.

I need your Ideas on how to approach this problem.

(i would be gratefull if you provide some links or soure code examples).
thanks.

The answer to this question spans quite a few technologies besides JSP and is probably beyond the scope of a forum like this.

If you are stuck on one part of the problem, people are always happy to help out but designing an application is a little more than can be covered here.

User types and roles are usually something that gets designed right into the business and database tiers.
If your needs are not too complicated, you might be able to get by with the security constraints provided by the servlet spec.
There is a link to the spec in my signature.
If you download it and search for security-constraint, you'll find the relavent section.
