Monash university in Melbourne, Australia, has a new course called game development, the description says:

the focus of this degree is on the multimedia and programming requirements for the development of interactive games. Provides students with the knowledge and skills essential to the analysis, design and implementation of computer based multimedia products, services and system. Students will concentrate on the programming principles and practives to build games engines

do you think there will be many students choose this course?
what can i do if i finished this course?
does it teach you game principle or concentrate on one language and use it to build an engine?
is this course valuable?

[ EFH: Mitchell said something akin to "Pardon me, but I didn't quite understand you. Could you explain further?" but not as nicely as that. ]
