Hi All,

Need a solution for a a timed redirect in jsp. Basicly its for a xhtml page for mobile phones which check to see if the customer using the site has been billed. If they havn't I need the page to redirect back to it self after x seconds.

Every time I do the redirect I will increment a fixed value in the seesion so that I can display a very simple progress bar.

The problem is that I know how to do this, normally I would just do the following:

response.setHeader("Refresh", "5; URL="+billingURL+"");

However as this page is aimed at mobile phone users the default browsers found on majority of phones do not support:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content"#" />

If anyone has any suggestion it would be great.

Many Thanks

John Robinson

"Animal Mother",

There aren't many rules that you need to worry about here on the Ranch, but one that we take very seriously regards the use of proper names. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

Thanks!

Sorry,

I'm just a big movie fan, Animal Mother is from 'Full Metal Jacket'.

Thanks

I'm a movie fan too. But please adjust your display name to your real first and last name prior to your next post. Thanks.
