Well said!

Besides "good work culture" is a relative term, I think not allowing employees to access internet from Desktop is pathetic; many ppl don't think so. On the other hand I dont care if I am given a branded machine or not, as long as the configuration is good, I am glad. It depends!!!

But still companies can be graded. Its all about weighted mean.

its like where given an opportunity, most of the people will like to take job. Grading need not be perfect but considering the bast majority of the people on this board, atleast we can try to see the companies where spending couple of years will give growth(personal and professional).

Again personal/professional growth is relative. .Say you are working on a project which involves C++ coding. After say 3 years, moving from c++ to java is a growth or from C++ to C is a growth? You are working on Bank software. After sometime moving from Banking to devleoping mathematical software is a growth or Banking to Suppy-chain related is a grwoth?
As per my knowledge fresher's choice is :
1)Infosys(descent salary but huge sea of people)
2)Wipro(same thing)
3)Robert Bosch(good projects and good salary)
4)Persistent(good projects)
5)IBM(good salary but support work and people are 'too old')
6)Trilogy(good)
7)Caritor(descent salary but not much coding work)
8)Novell(very good work and descent salary)
9)AOL(very good salary)
10)Yahoo(good salary)
11)HOneywell(very good salary and very good work)
..
...
and there are N number of large ,N square number of middle and Math.pow(Double.POSITIVE_INFINITY,Double.POSITIVE_INFINITY) number of small companies which have not been listed.Above listing is based on opinions from my friends.and related to Bangalore based companies.

Most of these companies are in Blore/Hyd. Any companies in Delhi region(NCR) which qualify in the top list.

Bail ki aankh(Bull's eye)!,this story is unending.Sapient is definitely good and so techspan and so Adobe or any other company which is in profit for that matter.
Whats your requirement? We can find out the companies accordingly.
Whats important is
1)Your business domain knowledge
2)Your software project related skills like data modelling, coding, testing, documentation, understanding and coordinating with the people.Wheever you work or any work you do,these skills are important than salary or company's name.

hey guys.. dont u ppl think TCS too qualifies among them.

even if it could not qualify for a good Pay when compared to other companies. Two years onsite in TCS, you will earn more than in Infy/Wipro. apart from the pay.. you have other gud packages too.

Hi,

The best company to work for in India is Oracle (Best Paymaster, Best Work (depends in the group), policies). The pay huge salaries and give good work.

Trilogy is the second best paymaster along with BEA, Gloabal Exchange etc.

WIPRO is a good company in India's big but TCS ranks the lowest with the lowest possible pay.

As far as my knowledge goes, I know that Trilogy pays much more than Oracle does.. Oracle is getting too big in work force to match the pay packets with likes of Trilogy/Bea.

BTW, How is Global Exchange doing ? seem to be in financial domain ? any details.. Not heard about it.. seems to be low profile company.. ?
