i am into a maintenance of web project. existing jsp pages are looking ugly without any formatting. I want to know whether there is any tool supports formatting jsp.. formatting i meant indentation of tags in a proper manner, etc..

If use WebToolsProject of eclipse, it has got Format document option in its JSP Editor. You can try that. If you have folder of JSPs then you can format all JSPs at one shot.

Hope this helps.

But beware. I've tried such things in the past and they often have disastrous consequences in that they often apply formatting which either prevents sources from compiling or changes the generated html in such a way that the result that is parsed by browsers is influenced.
