Look up the concept of the context parameter.

Hi Bear ,

I see that my post has been removed... Well , I understand that i tried helping someone from the Book which i was reading. Is this wrong ??? Some day before i posted something from a book , Marc Weber said if you post something from a book be sure to include the name of the book too.. I did that and here i am.. Taking so much initiative and my post is REMOVED.. This is not acceptable...

Helping someone and then kicked off just because it was a part of a Book.. What was wrong if that post would have been there ??

WRONG THING DONE MY FRIEND.

Yogendra Joshi.

JavaRanch takes copyright issues very seriously.

you can also raise the question in the "JavaRanch forum". in fact, that would be preferred, so that this thread doesn't get hijacked.

but the "be polite" rule still applies.

Yogendra Joshi,

I am the owner of JavaRanch. I wish to express that if anybody finds anything to be less than perfect on JavaRanch, that it is my fault.

You say "WRONG THING DONE MY FRIEND." I do not agree. I do not wish to publish something on my site that may violate a copyright. Small bits of text can be quoted as long as the source is referenced. But not such large portions.

"This is not acceptable...": I'm sorry that you find my attempts to legally protect myself outside of your comfort zone. I hope that you find a community that you are more comfortable with.

If you feel the urge to discuss this further, I hope you will take it up in the JavaRanch forum.

It wasn't my idea to go to some crazy nightclub in the middle of nowhere. I just wanted to stay home and cuddle with this tiny ad:
