How to use JSTL with tomcat 4.1

hi
i just novice to JSTL.Currently i am using Eclipse3.1 with tomcat4.1.I copied the jstl.jar and standard.jar in web-inf folder and restart Tomacat .But i am still getting folowing error

Web.xml or it cannot solve either one of the JAR file which disposes this application


please solve my problem as soon as possible.

Maybe you're not used to the forum yet, but this is not a thing to say

copied the jstl.jar and standard.jar in web-inf folder

They should be in WEB-INF/lib.
And be careful, you can only use JSTL 1.0 with Tomcat 4.x

i am using JSTL1.1 .Is it work fine with tomcal4.1..

From the JSTL specification :
Container Requirement: JSTL 1.1 requires a JSP 2.0 web container. Please note that the expression language is part of the JSP specification starting with JSP 2.0.

But Tomcat 4.x supports only JSP 1.2, not 2.0.
You can use JSTL 1.1 jar files, but you'll have to use 1.0 uri :

As Satou pointed out, you should be using JSTL 1.0 with Tomcat 4. What URIs are you using to declare the taglibs?
