I've been studying Java since around November of 2005.. I started studying at home with this distance course, and I really want to work with JSP, but I've heard I should learn Java well first, then go to JSP..

Is there like a shortcut where I can gain JSP knowledge, and perhaps make a few simple JSP scripts?

Also if there are any suggested JSP tutorials out there you could recommend, I would greatly appreciate it..

Servlets and JSP are tightly related to each other (JSPs being a kind of servlet). So I suggest you to study both. Grab a book, you'll find some reviews here : http://www.javaranch.com/bunkhouse/JSP.jsp
