hi,
I am doing one web application in JSP.In that project,i want to download the email contents and attachment came to a particular email.
I did this retreiving from emails whenever i clicks on a link.
it is working fine.and i am able to retrieve the email content perfectly.
Now i want to do thie retrieving without clicking any link or button,it has dynamically retreive the content from the mail.
Is it possible to make the retrieving code running in the background whenever i logs into the application?
If so can anyone tell me how to make a background process using jsp?

Thanks a lot

Can you provide more explanation (like dynamically retrieving the content and showing it to the user or providing a prompt to the user etc)

hi,
No need to display the content,Instead displaying a message to user indicating the content is retrieved and stored in the server is enough.

Do you have any idea of doing background processing?

Thanks a lot

hi,
To do background processing i tried using <jsp:include>
Using that tage i am able to retrieve the mail attachements.
But i added that tag in the main page of my project which will come after the login authentication,so the problem iam facing is,for login into the project itself taking somuch of time.

can anyone tell me how to retrieve the mailattachements dynamically in the server?

Thanks a lot
