Usage of scriptlets inside tag files

I know that I cannot use scriptlets inside the bodyContent where the tag file is getting called.But my question is
"can I use scriptlets inside Tag file?".

I'm asking this question because hfsj says we can, but one more book says we cannot.can anyone help me on this matter?
