Accenture Interview Process

Hi friends ,

Accenture banglore is recruiting heavily these days. Just wondering if any of you would have already attended accentures inperson test/iterviews ?

If yes , then please let me know as what is there recruitment process like ? and what do they focus on the most on when comes to interviews and tests.

Hi Raghav,

I've attended Accenture interview once.

First of all, you prepare urself to spend entire day in Accenture.

You need to report there by 9.00 am, after registration u need to wait till 9.40 a.m for all other candidates to come. then you will be given a test of around 30 min on Java/J2ee...which is not very difficult. Some core java questions and some basic question on jsp, servlets and EJB.

If you clear the test, you may have to sit idle waiting for ur Technical interview. You may have to wait till eveining to face the first round of interview. My personal opinion is that, the questions asked during interview are dependent of the Interviewer rather than the company. My interviewer asked me comparitively simple questions like diff ways of session tracking in servlet, some uml questions like diff between activity and collaboration diagram, diff scopes in JSP, deployment of EJB, etc.

If you clear this round then you may have to face GD or HR round and then final interview. This whole process will take atleast 9.00pm in the evening.

Well, If you are planning to attend the interview, ALL THE BEST and PLS DON't FORGET TO PACK YOUR LUNCH/DINNER.

A few things more :

As you said the first step is a 30 mins test based on basics(j2se, jsp , servlets and EJB). Also the interviwer might ask questions based on UML

Is EJB mandatory ?
Is UML Mandatory ?
What is the GD like ?

Really they DON'T provide LUNCH and their office in Mumbai is in deserted area, so u even don't find Restaurants nearby.


I don't know whether EJB is must or no. But since it was written on my CV, he asked me the questions depending on the skills mentioned in my resume.

I attended the Accenture interview years back.. They had the same attitute that time as well.. Thanks god, that place had a water cooler and we could have some cold water... in the summers of Delhi...

Raghav, Be sure to brush up the Core Java concepts.. that is where your interview starts, mostly.... look at threads/inner classes/reflection etc..
There on it will move in the direction of the skills, that you have written on your CV... If you can answer first few questions confidently, that is always good and it balances soem wrong answers later. ...

What kind of questions can be expected when it comes to J2EE . I havent really worked on servlets but on have worked on jsp and beans . Any idea ?

Apart from their Interview process, I dont know much about the company.

I've heard that it's a good comp...

But I would really to know more abt the work culture, their projects, onsite opportunites,etc. particularly about their Mumbai office.

If I were u, I would take it up. I am returning from US shortly after having worked 6 yrs here and Accenture is first on my list. I am looking at the brand name and pay. Abt job quality, I feel u cant predict unless u join a company; some projects may be good, some may not be; depends on ur luck as to where u r put.

Accenture doesn't have a very good name, their old name "Arthur Anderson" was so badly damaged by the Enron scandal that they had to change their name after over 50 years in the constulting business.

Accenture, which was the technical consulting arm of Arthur Anderson, split off, and changed to accenture, before the Enron scandal. This was definitely a good thing, because accenture would have probably crashed and burned with the the accounting arm of Anderson, if it wasn't for this.

As for Anderson, I always thought that the U.S. government, overplayed their hand. By the time they realized that Anderson may not survive the publicity, it was too late. A multibillion dollar company, along with lots of jobs, went up in smoke.

present condition of the company is good.

It does not hurt to earn some big6(may be big4) experience.

Regarding the lunch thing, I hate these folks not providing lunch during interview process. That is totally unprofessional.

I have some friends working for Accenture & getting some work done in India. I will make sure I will point this out to them.

Accenture here in the US sucks!

I went for an interview for a developer position in California. I wasn't asked any programming questions and the offer I recieved was 2/3 of market rate. They also wanted to bring me in at the absolute lowest payscale.

To their credit they have great benefits, but to be sure they are a jobshop: They work you to death and bill their clients at a rate of 2x what they pay you.

Concentrate on Core Java....the test was entirely in core java...no J2ee questions at all...core java questions were not very difficult...if u've clear funda of core java, its very easy to crack the test...

Then u need to appear for Technical Test...as I said earlier, the questions asked during the interview largerly depends on the person and his knowledge....The person who took my interview, asked me comparatively easy questions but he went in details of the answers...so u need to be thorough in ur answers...what i mean to say is, u can just bluff....he touched core java, servlets and JSP also.

And make sure to write only those things on ur CV, which u r confident abt...bcoz he scanned each and every word of my Cv....

They generally test ur basic funda's, some sample coding (like he told me to write down JDBC code), Quality Awareness, Testing skills, etc.

After this round u need to undergo HR interview, pretty simple ur expectations, ur family background, etc....

And final interview with ur prospective Manager...like why u want to leave ur company, why u want to join this company, what are ur skills, what r u preferences, etc.

Then the offer letter...

Hi friends, I am also planning to return back to India after 5 years in malaysia. I have total 8 years exp and 2+ years in j2ee.

Could anybody please give me some idea about how much salary to expect? And what position i can look for?

any particular reason for relocating to India from Malaysia?just curious as im currently working in Malaysia for past one year.kind of like the lifestyle here and much less stress and deadlines compared to the companies in India
