1. I'm not after it
2. I'd buy it after being sure that I don't win it !
3. I'm busy enough reading Spring In Action at the moment
4. I'm not particularly interested in Ajax (that'll take time to convince me), nor in the book

I'm really curious about what happened to this promotion. Aren't you ? The winners of last week's promotion have already been announced, by Mr Bollinger himself. I'd appreciate some comments on that. Is it cancelled or something ?

If the winners are not announced still I feel that there could be some problem with the publishers.

That could well be the case.

However as that seems to be an ongoing problem I think the promotions should be revamped or cancelled. Promotional contests should only proceed AFTER the product has been recieved by the appropriate JavaRanch people. If it was a one time issue that's one thing but this problem seems to reoccur frequently and I think it makes JavaRanch look bad.

If publishers and/or authors want to advertise their product on this site they should buy advertising space. Or they should provide the prize materials in advance of the promotion.

I appreciate the congrats on the post count. I appreciate the sarcasm. I can take it as well as I can dish it out.

What I don't appreciate is threads being hijacked. If you want to talk about the way things are handled around here, start a new thread and go to town. That's what helps us make this place better. But don't sneak your own agendas into other people's threads. That's just rude.
