Hi,
It's the same way as you do in a servlet:

If you want to get the parameter in a scriptlet you have to do this:

With EL it gets even better:

${param.name}

Processing inside a JSP is not considered a good practice,why don't you have a servlet let do all the processing?

Satou's request that you fix your screen name was the fourth.
Please be advised that, after three warnings, accounts with invalid screen names are subject to being closed without further warning.

Please see the
JavaRanch Naming Policy and
then go here
to fix it before you post to this site again or your account will be closed.

Thank you.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
